The Most Corrupt Members of Congress

Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW), a non-profit government watchdog organization, released its annual report this week of the most corrupt members of Congress. The list includes 10 Republicans and four Democrats.

The Republican House members who made the list are Charles Bass (N.H.), Vern Buchanan (Fla.), Stephen Fincher (Tenn.), Michael Grimm (N.Y.), Frank Guinta (N.H.), David Rivera (Fla.), Hal Rogers (Ky.), Jean Schmidt (Ohio), and Joe Walsh (Ill.).

The Democratic House members on the list are Gregory Meeks (N.Y.), Nick Rahall (W.V.), Laura Richardson (Calif.) and Maxine Waters (Calif.).

Only one Senator made the list, David Vitter (La.). Vitter was also on CREW’s 2007 list for soliciting prostitutes, but was reelected in 2010.

Since CREW only accounts for behavior for the past year for each year’s list, Vitter’s sexual misconduct was not taken into account in this years report. Instead, Vitter made the list for improper use of office personnel and funds to aid a legislative assistant with personal legal matters. The assistant had been charged, on two separate occasions, with drunk driving and physically abusing his girlfriend.

    There are currently 70 Democratic Socialist in Congress. Remember, these people are Socialist, not Democrat. They just ran on the Democratic ticket in order to get elected. If you’re a Democrat make sure you reprsentative is not on that list. Google “Democratic Socialist in Congress”.If you check these various websites you will find a list of all their names.

    Virtually every member of congress becomes corrupt when, after taking the “Oath-of-Office,” he advocates or votes for a bill which is unconstitutional. It almost seems as if there is some automatic loss of reason which takes place when receiving the keys to the Congressional Office Building.
    It is a shame that the voting public is so ignorant of just how limiting the Constitution is, concerning what the federal government may do. It has become so bad, that the candidates can advocate, openly, for unconstitutional reforms or programs, and the public eats it up.
    There are too many corrupted judges, so it is almost impossible to get any satisfaction regarding this blatant unlawfulness.
    And then the Senate approves of the appointments made by a President, even though the person in consideration has some obvious disqualification, or conflict of interests (think Sotomajor, or H. Clinton). We no longer have a government, of, by, and for the people; but rather, one which regulates and controls the people.
    Wake up, folks, as it is very nearly too late.

    What’s odd to me , is that none of the Candidates state the estimated dollar amount that all the illegal’s are Depriving Legal Citizens, by their presence in Our Country. My “solution” is : Jail all landowners that rent to them, all that employ them, and the illegal’s themselves for breaking Our Law for even being here . That would cost a lot , but I think it would still be less than what it does the way it is now. All 3 groups are violating serious laws ; and
    I know if the illegal’s couldn’t get places to live and jobs , they wouldn’t be coming in . Also it would give many Citizens jobs at prisons, and Our unemployed would have lots of jobs building new prisons . { instead of ,
    OH-Yeah “bridges & roads” , etc… } Barrys-Cure . !!!!

    Good thing this site is NOT called TRUTH IN ADVERTISING. They fail miserably. Guess they believe ommission of the facts is not relevant. Moreover, they must be blind to all the year’s Congressional news and goings-on. Can you say OMMISSIONS? There’s no integrity at this site!
